A body was discovered inside a burning car on Montreal Road just east of Highway 174 Thursday afternoon.
“We responded at 1:04 (p.m.) for a car fire on Montreal Road just east of (Highway) 174 and confirmed that a body was located inside,” said Const. Al Boucher.
Montreal Road was closed between Highway 174 and Bearbrook Road while Ottawa police investigated.
A body was also found inside a burning car near Carp on May 2, although fire services said it had no further information at the time about why the body was in the vehicle.
