A woman made her own way to the hospital late Monday night after she was shot in the city’s south end.
Police were called to Heatherington Road at 11:52 p.m. They found shell casings on the street.
The woman in her 20s arrived at a nearby hospital but was later transferred by ambulance to the local trauma centre, paramedics said. Her vital signs were stable.
Her injuries are not life-threatening, police said.
East district detectives are investigating. Anyone with information is asked to call city police’s east criminal investigations unit at 613-236-1222 ext. 3566.
