Kingston police say they’ve nabbed a 36-year-old man who was accused of grabbing a dog’s genitals and squeezing until it yelped with pain then groping its no-doubt horrified owner.
The victim reported that she was walking her dog in McBurney Park, northwest of downtown, at about 12:30 p.m. Tuesday when the man approached and bent down as if to pet the pooch.
After hurting her dog, he then made “inappropriate” sexual comments to her and grabbed her buttocks. She fled and called police.
Police collared the unidentified suspect at the park and held him for a bail hearing Wednesday on charges of sexual assault and wilfully causing pain to an animal.
