A man and woman are dead after their car went off the road and crashed into trees in Gatineau Park overnight.
The Champlain Parkway remained closed Wednesday morning as RCMP officers reconstructed the circumstances of the fatal crash near Champlain Lookout.
Officers from MRC des Collines were the first police on the scene at about 12 a.m. Wednesday. First responders found the pair unconscious in the vehicle and they succumbed to their injuries.
Next of kin were still being notified, an RCMP spokeswoman said.
She warned motorists to drive with care in the park and respect posted speed limits.
