Parents who bought a bright red Ottawa Senators onesie for their babies last fall are being urged to return the garment as it has been deemed a choking risk.
The metal snaps that close the onesie could be a choking hazard if they fall off, said a Health Canada release on Monday, and the manufacturer has issued a recall.
So far, there has been one report of a snap that fell off, and no reported injuries. About 5,100 of the onesies were sold. They are red, with a Sens logo on the front and the Canadian Tire logo on one sleeve.
The garments, made in China, were sold last October and November.
Anyone with a Senators onesie is urged not to use it, but to contact Reward Connections Inc. to return it for disposal. Consumers can phone 905-238-8445 or write to customerservice@rewardconnections.com.
