Provincial police are seeking public assistance in tracking down Benjamin Lietdke, 41, who is sought on a Canada-wide warrant for breach of parole.

Lietdke had been servicing a 11-year sentence on several bank robbery related charges including using a firearm while committing an offence, possession of a weapon and others.

At sentencing at his trial in 2008 on a number of bank robbery charges, the Crown called Lietdke “a pretty scary guy” who committed a string of bank jobs between 2002 and 2006 armed with a .357 Magnum handgun.

He is described as Caucasian, about five feet eight inches (173cm) tall, weighing 155 lbs (94kg) with a fair complexion, brown eyes, brown hair.

He has tattoos of a gun and skull on his upper back, barbed wire across on his abdomen and a dragon on his right shoulder.

Lietdke is known to frequent Ottawa, Gatineau and Pembroke areas.
