From Glengarry-Prescott-Russell in the east to Kanata-Carleton in the west, the average voter turnout across nine Ottawa ridings was just over 60 per cent for the 2018 provincial election, based on unofficial Elections Ontario results.

Ottawa-Vanier had the lowest turnout, at 52.9 per cent, while Orléans was highest at 64.91. Most Ottawa electoral districts saw a higher percentage of registered voters turn out than did Ontario as a whole. While the province-wide turnout was the highest it has been since 1999, it was still only 58 per cent.

Here’s a breakdown of voter turnout in each Ottawa riding, calculated by dividing the number of votes cast by the number of registered electors on the Voters List, and multiplied by 100. Elections Ontario notes that, in its unofficial results, the number of registered electors does not include polling-day registrations.

Glengarry-Prescott-Russell: 56.94 per cent

Orléans: 64.91 per cent

Carleton: 64.05 per cent

Ottawa-Vanier: 52.90 per cent

Ottawa South: 58.18 per cent

Ottawa Centre: 63.99 per cent

Nepean: 60.29 per cent

Ottawa West-Nepean: 58.21 per cent

Kanata-Carleton: 63.16 per cent

Average across ridings: 60.29 per cent
