On Tuesday, this newspaper reported that Melinda Karlsson filed an order of protection against the longtime girlfriend of Senators forward Mike Hoffman — alleging a campaign of harassment that plagued the Karlssons after the death of their son and through much of the last NHL season.
The application for a peace bond, sworn in front of Justice of the Peace Louise Logue on May 4, alleges that Monika Caryk, Hoffman’s partner, had threatened Melinda (née Currey) and husband Erik Karlsson from November 2017 to the date the information was sworn to.
Hoffman and Caryk deny this.

What kind of person mocks/harasses someone just after they had a miscarriage? & what kind of person continues a relationship w/someone who does that? Not to mention that your gf is continuously doing that to a teammate & his wife. If proven true, I'm disgusted w/Hoffman & his gf

Quick reminder on the @OttawaCitizen story involving the Karlssons-Hoffmans. These are currently allegations, not facts. If true, they are horrendous. But if false, also horrendous. Either way, quite a mess to clean up for the Senators.
