The province’s booze regulator will let bars start serving at 9 a.m. during the FIFA World Cup tournament in Russia.
With the time change, some Cup matches begin as early as 6 a.m. and 8 a.m. during the first 10 days of competition.
Soccer fans would normally have had to wait until 11 a.m. to tip a glass, but the province will permit early indulgence.
The province said no municipality objected to the early hours. Individual establishments can choose not to participate.
The 2018 FIFA World Cup gets underway Thursday with a Russia versus Saudi Arabia match in Moscow.
