The City of Ottawa warned residents near Confederation Park to anticipate a “brief but loud noise” Thursday morning as military planes take part in the National Aboriginal Veterans Annual Celebration of Remembrance.
Nine aircraft will fly over the National Aboriginal Veterans Monument in the downtown park at 11:45 a.m.
June 21 is National Indigenous Peoples Day, originally designated as National Aboriginal Day, which celebrates First Nations, Métis and Inuit culture and accomplishments.
