Gatineau police are seeking public assistance in locating a 22-year-old suspect in a “targeted” home invasion and stabbing June 17 that left the victim with serious injuries.
Police say the incident occurred at about 11:30 p.m. at an apartment on Charny Street in Gatineau.
When the victim answered the door, the suspect attacked with a blade of some kind, continuing the attack inside the apartment.
The victim’s wounds are not considered life-threatening.
Police have issued a warrant against Gabriel Labelle-Boisvenue, 22, on charges of break and enter, assault with a weapon, uttering threats, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and mischief.
Police did not immediately have physical description of the suspect.
Anyone seeing Labelle-Boisvenue is asked to contact 911 immediately.
Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call the Gatineau police ‘InfoLine’ at 819-243-INFO (4636), option 5.
