The federal government is looking for the next top boss of the National Capital Commission.

Mark Kristmanson’s five-year term as CEO ends Feb. 2, 2019, so the government needs to know who’s interested in the top job overseeing federal land-use planning, official residences, Gatineau Park and other assets in the Ottawa-Gatineau region.

Applicants have until July 30 to send their résumés.

The published salary range is $179,200 – $210,800.

Kristmanson, who was appointed by the previous Conservative federal government in 2014, has navigated several hot files in his time as CEO, including the redevelopment competition for LeBreton Flats, the 100-day agreement with the City of Ottawa on the western LRT corridor and the ongoing conundrum of 24 Sussex Dr., the prime minister’s official residence, which is currently inhabitable for Justin Trudeau’s family.

The NCC CEO is also a member of the board of directors. The board has been experiencing a significant turnover over the past seven months.

Heritage Minister Mélanie Joly on Friday named Deborah Lynn Morrison to the NCC board. Morrison, the president and CEO of Experiences Canada, begins her four-year term Monday. She takes the place of Bob Plamondon, whose term has ended.
