Ottawa firefighters were called to the yard of a south-end home Friday afternoon after the homeowner witnessed a group of baby ducklings fall through a sewer grate.
Firefighters arrived at the home and reunited the ducklings with their mother around 1 p.m.
The ducks then hopped into a nearby pool to go for a swim.
Ottawa firefighters used the incident to remind homeowners to call the city’s 311 information line should residents see an animal in distress.
Firefighters rescued 5 day old ducklings that fell into backyard sewer grate in South Ottawa. They were reunited quickly with their mother.
