Police are investigating after a fire caused heavy smoke and water damage to a house in Gatineau’s La Blanche neighbourhood on Monday.
One person was evacuated from the blaze and two displaced, the fire department said.
Crews were called to 10 Boyes St. off St. René Boulevard East at 5:42 p.m.
They found flames on a terrace behind the house involving a wall and the roof.
They were able to limit the spread of the flames to the outside and roof and had the situation under control at 7:15 p.m.
Damage is pegged at $94,050.
