Hwy 416 remains closed following single-vehicle crash near Spencerville

Canada Day weekend travellers should be prepared for delays if they’re using southbound Highway 416 to connect with Highway 401.

The major route remains closed at around Spencerville, about 90 kilometres south of Ottawa following a serious single vehicle crash at about 7 a.m.

The roadblocks begin at around County Road 40.

There were no confirmations of injuries although several tweets mentioned the presence of an Ornge medevac helicopter at the scene.

Delays are estimated at about 15-45 minutes.
