Dispose of spoiled food items at City locations

September 24, 2018 – Residents in areas affected by the tornado and windstorm can dispose of food items spoiled during the power outage at the following City locations until the end of Tuesday, September 25:

• Basin Court
• Conroy Works Yard - 3100 Conroy Road
• Hunt Club Community Centre – 3320 Paul Anka Drive
• Johnny Leroux Arena – 10 Warner Colpitts Lane
• Kanata Recreation Centre – 100 Charlie Rogers Place
• Manotick Arena – 5572 Doctor Leach
• Minto Sports Complex – 3500 Cambrian Road
• Nepean Sportsplex – 1701 Woodroffe Avenue
• North Gower Town Hall – 2155 Roger Stevens Drive
• Pinecrest Recreation Centre – 2250 Tourquay Avenue
• Richcraft Arena – 4101 Innovation Drive
• Richmond Arena – 6095 Perth Street
• Tom Brown Arena – 141 Bayview Avenue
• Walter Baker Sports Centre - 100 Malvern Drive

Please do not put other waste in the bins. Due to the risk of contamination, materials brought to these bins will be sent to landfills.

Regular curbside collection continues this week as scheduled. If your green bin is full, you can place your organics in cardboard boxes or leaf and yard waste bags.

If your garbage, organics and recyclables are not collected by the regular time, please leave them out. We will complete pickups as soon as possible, however there may be delays due to high demand following the storm and power outages.

Volunteers picking up roadside debris can leave it on the side of the road and City crews will pick it up.

Please do not move storm-related debris from your property to the curb. Contact your insurance company to arrange for proper disposal. The City is in the process of removing storm debris from roadsides and ditches on a priority basis.
