Join Mayor Jim Watson as he hosts the Mayor’s 18th Annual Christmas Celebration on Saturday, December 8 at Ottawa City Hall in support of the Ottawa Food Bank.

Date: Saturday, December 8
Time: 2 to 6 pm
Location: Ottawa City Hall, 110 Laurier Avenue West
Admission: a non-perishable food donation to the Ottawa Food Bank

Families are invited to celebrate the holiday season in the fresh outdoors in Marion Dewar Plaza by roasting marshmallows and singing Christmas songs around a campfire. Santa and Mrs. Clause will arrive from the North Pole and will welcome visitors in their very own outdoor cabin.. Come ice skate on the Sens Rink of Dreams, take a horse-drawn wagon ride on the downtown streets surrounding City Hall, then indulge in delicious BeaverTails. The live entertainment is sure to get you moving, with planned performances from Le Groupe Swing and Sonshine & Broccoli! The fun continues inside in Jean Pigott Place where you can enjoy hot chocolate, assorted juices, cookies, and fresh fruit.

The Mayor’s Annual Christmas Celebration is made possible by the generosity of the many corporate sponsors.

In the spirit of giving and to help those in need, admission to this sponsored event is a non-perishable food or cash donation to the Ottawa Food Bank.

OC Transpo will offer free bus rides on all routes to and from City Hall from 1:30 to 6:30 pm to children 11 years and under when accompanied by a fare-paying adult.

This is not a nut-free event. Dress for the weather as most activities will take place outside.
