There are some rumors about new layoff might happen soon in Nortel and Alcatel.
Here, I want to share some experiences and remind some friends who might be in danger, that, instead of sign on the package simply like many others, do not forget you have the right to let a lawyer to go through the document for you and the lawyer will help you and often win more benifits, which are not expected, for you.
I joined in the layoff team since April
. At that time, I do not know anything about the legal protection stuff. I just want to sign on whatever document the company give me and leave office quickly, like others, especially in big companies.
