Upcoming events and projects will have the following impacts on Ottawa traffic:
Elgin Street – The Lewis Street crossing at Elgin Street will remain closed for approximately one week, to accommodate deep sewer and water work for the Elgin Street renewal project. Waverley Street is open for westbound traffic to cross Elgin Street. Jack Purcell Lane between Lewis Street and Waverley Street is temporarily a two-way street, to provide access to the Jack Purcell Community Centre.
Bronson Avenue – Beginning the week of May 6, Bronson Avenue between Imperial Avenue and Arlington Avenue will experience traffic disruptions. More information is available on the Bronson Avenue project page.
Road Closures related to flooding – Roads in the West Carleton–March, Cumberland and Bay wards, as well as the Chaudière Bridge, have been closed due to flooding. Residents are advised to avoid areas impacted by flooding and can view up to date information on road closures caused by flooding on our Interactive Traffic Map.

Battle of the Atlantic Ceremony – On Sunday, May 5, between 7:30 am to noon, the following lane and road closures will be in effect during the Battle of Atlantic Ceremony event:
CN Cycle for CHEO – On Sunday, May 5, between 6 am and 1 pm, the following lane and road closures will be in effect, to facilitate the CN Cycle for CHEO event:

- The Portage Bridge (Both the Portage Bridge and Chaudière Bridge will be closed at this time, Commuters who are travelling to and from Gatineau are advised to take either the Alexandra Bridge, the Champlain Bridge or the Macdonald-Cartier Bridge during this time)
- Bay Street between Wellington Street and Laurier Avenue
- Laurier Avenue between Bay Street and Elgin Street
- Laurier Avenue eastbound between Elgin Street and Nicholas Street
- Queen Elizabeth Drive between Laurier Avenue and Preston Street
- National Capital Commission Scenic Road
- One northbound lane of Prince of Wales Drive between Preston Street and Heron Road
- Heron Road will experience lane reductions between Prince of Wales Drive and Riverside Drive
- Eastbound access and Westbound egress road between Heron Road and Vincent Massey Park
- One southbound lane at Riverside Drive between Heron Road and Hog’s Back Road
- Hog’s Back Road westbound between Riverside and Colonel By Drive
- Colonel By Drive between Heron Road and Rideau Street
- Sussex Drive between Rideau Street and Sir George Étienne-Cartier Parkway
- Sir George Étienne-Cartier Parkway between Sussex Drive and St. Joseph Boulevard, Gatineau
