The following online public engagement opportunities are available:
The City offers residents a variety of opportunities to engage, share information and collaborate. The City is developing a Rural Economic Development Strategy and action plan for rural wards. Residents from Cumberland can participate in our focus group on how the City can develop economic growth in rural Ottawa.
The following online public engagement opportunities are available:
- Open Ottawa: The City provides free access to data and information through its Open Ottawa data portal. As part of the City’s Smart City 2.0 Strategy, we want to hear your ideas on how to improve the portal and what data sets you would like to see.
- Mature Neighbourhoods Overlay and Alternative Provisions in Residential Development Areas: The City is proposing a new zoning strategy that would create new regulations for front and corner side yards that puts soft landscaping first, before driveways, parking, walkways and ground-level projections such as landings, stairs and porches. Residents can provide their comments on the new strategy until Monday, June 17.
- Ottawa Rural Economic Development Strategy: The City is developing a Rural Economic Development Strategy and action plan for economic growth in rural Ottawa. Residents are invited to provide their input on how the City can develop economic growth in rural Ottawa and identifying key sites for arts, culture, heritage and tourism.
- Rental Accommodations Study: The City is reviewing regulations to address public health and safety, consumer protection, community nuisances and other areas related to private rental properties. Residents are invited to participate in workshops and take surveys about rental housing, student housing and short-term rentals like Airbnb and Flipkey.
