Safety and well-being are terms that often bring security immediately to mind. However, one basic part of safety and well-being is the health of you and your family.
You may have already thought about this if health issues have become prominent in your or a loved one’s life. Perhaps you have child with diabetes or a parent with dementia.
Our health care system includes a wide range of institutions, like hospitals, clinics and long-term care homes. The Community Safety and Well-Being Plan will not only look at how these services are faring, but also how they work together.
Are services from different levels of government communicating with one another? Are there gaps in the system? What can we learn from our successes and in what areas can we improve?
These aren’t easy questions. Hearing different perspectives will give us the best possible chance to find creative, meaningful solutions to the complex problems facing our community.
We want to hear from people from all walks of life:
