The following projects will impact Ottawa traffic:
Elgin Street – On Monday, March 30, Elgin Street northbound will close between Catherine and Nepean streets until approximately the end of July for the Elgin Street renewal project. More information, including a detour map, is available on ottawa.ca. One southbound lane will remain open at all time to times to traffic, transit and cyclists.
Highway 174 – Highway 174 westbound will close between Trim Road and Tenth Line Road to remove signage. The closure will start at 11 pm on Saturday, March 28 and will be in place until 9 am on Sunday, March 29. Detours are available on ottawa.ca.
Montreal Road –The following lane reductions are ongoing for approximately two weeks for the Montreal Road Revitalization project. Pedestrian and OC Transpo access is maintained around the work.
As per the announcement from the province of Ontario on March 23, construction is deemed as an essential service. The City is working closely with the construction industry and contract workers who are providing services on behalf of the City. All contract workers are required to follow all recommended Ottawa Public Health safety measures. Understanding that the COVID-19 situation is rapidly evolving, this work is subject to modifications if the situation changes. Any changes will be communicated to stakeholders and the public.

- Montreal Road is reduced to one lane in each direction from the Cummings Bridge to Montgomery Street.
- North River Road is reduced to one lane in each direction from Montreal Road and Selkirk Street.
