OC Transpo bus operator diagnosed with COVID-19

The bus driver operated Routes 19, 50, 57, 63, 64 75 and 85 on March 18, 19, and 20 before noticing any symptoms.


An OC Transpo bus operator as been diagnosed with COVID-19.

The driver operated five different buses on several routes during what Ottawa Public Health (OPH) deems the key dates for spreading the infection, which is considered 48 hours prior to the first day someone shows symptoms.

Transit officials say the driver went into self-isolation on March 20 and was tested on March 21.

OC Transpo sent a memo to the City of Ottawa on Tuesday night to confirm the diagnoses.


The bus driver operated Routes 19, 50, 57, 63, 64 75 and 85 on March 18, 19, and 20 before noticing any symptoms.
