Highway 174 – From Saturday, April 4 at 11 pm to Sunday, April 5 at 9 am, Highway 174 westbound will close between Trim and Tenth Line roads to remove signs, weather permitting There will be a detour in place
Interprovincial bridges and ferry – Traffic delays can be expected for motorist travelling from Ottawa to the province of Quebec at the following interprovincial bridges and ferry.
On April 1, 2020, the Quebec government announced interprovincial travel restrictions, impacting non-essential travel between Ottawa and Gatineau (Outaouais region) in order to reduce the spread of COVID-19. Gatineau police will be conducting spot checks and any out-of-province individuals who are non-essential traffic or showing symptoms of COVID-19 may not be allowed entry into Quebec.
Montreal Road –The following lane reductions are ongoing for approximately two weeks for the Montreal Road Revitalization project. Pedestrian and OC Transpo access is maintained around the work.
Montreal Road at Highway 174 – Beginning Friday, April 10 and lasting through the summer, Montreal Road will be reduced to one lane in each direction between the Highway 174 westbound off ramp and the Highway 174 eastbound on ramp for Stage 2 Confederation Line East Extension construction. One left turn lane at the Highway 174 eastbound off ramp will be closed. The pathway on the north side of Montreal Road will be closed. Pedestrians will be able use a new pathway on the south side of Montreal Road.
The Province of Ontario announced on Monday, March 23 that construction is an essential service. The City is working closely with the construction industry and contract workers who provide services on behalf of the City. All contract workers must follow Ottawa Public Health’s recommended safety measures. The COVID-19 situation is rapidly evolving, so there may be modifications to construction work if the situation changes. The City will communicate any changes to stakeholders and residents.
