One question for mortgage.

Hi,

Just looked into the mortgage agreement and have one question here,

There is a mortgage discharge fee about $225 when I finally pay off the mortgage in the future. Not sure if I can get any waiver for this fee or not? Or it's mandatory?

Anybody can help me for this question?

这个费用是必要的。
比如你要从这家银行换到下一家银行的Mortgage的时候，原来的这家银行就在penalty之外还要收你个费用。

If you are switching to another lender, the new lender might pay the discharge fee for you. But if you are paying off your mortgage, then congrats, you own your house for 225 bucks.
