The following projects will impact Ottawa traffic:
Airport Parkway – There will be intermittent lane closures in both directions on the Airport Parkway between Brookfield and Walkley roads from Wednesday, May 27 to Friday, May 29, daily from 7 am to 5 pm, to remove graffiti on the bridge, weather permitting. Access for pedestrians and cyclists on the Sawmill and Brookfield pathways will be maintained.
Bank Street canal bridge – The curb lanes in both the northbound and southbound directions on the Bank Street canal bridge have been converted to pedestrian walkways. The bridge now has one traffic lane and one pedestrian lane in each direction, between Wilton Crescent and Echo Drive.
Elgin Street – Parts of Elgin Street will close to motorists in both directions from Wednesday, May 27 to Friday, May 29, to remove hydro conductors and poles as part of the Elgin Street renewal project. A signed detour will be in place. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained. Different segments of Elgin Street will close each day:

Hawthorne Avenue – Hawthorne Avenue will close between Queen Elizabeth Driveway and Colonel By Drive on Sunday, May 24 from 6 am to 2 pm to complete spring maintenance on the Pretoria Bridge. Access for pedestrians and cyclists to cross the bridge will be maintained.
Highway 174 – The eastbound off-ramp from Highway 174 to Place d’Orléans Drive will be reduced by one lane from Monday, May 25 for approximately one week for resurfacing.
Montreal Road – Montreal Road will be reduced to one lane in each direction between Olmstead Street and Marier Avenue from Monday, May 25 until the end of August for the Montreal Road revitalization project. The following intersections will also close:
· Marier Avenue at Montreal Road
· Olmstead Street at Montreal Road

Queen Elizabeth Driveway – Queen Elizabeth Driveway will close to motorists between Laurier and Fifth avenues daily until Sunday, June 28, from 8 am to 8 pm. Motorists will be able to cross Queen Elizabeth Driveway from the Pretoria Bridge to access Pretoria Avenue. Access for emergency vehicles and OC Transpo buses will be maintained. This closure is a pilot project managed by the National Capital Commission to facilitate physical distancing. Please consult the NCC website for the latest on the status of the pilot project.
Sir George-Étienne Cartier Parkway – Sir George-Étienne Cartier Parkway between the Aviation Parkway and St. Joseph Boulevard is closed to motorists on weekends from 8 am to 4 pm until Sunday, May 31. This closure is a pilot project managed by the National Capital Commission to facilitate physical distancing. Please consult the NCC website for the latest on the status of the pilot project.
Sir John A. Macdonald Parkway – The westbound lanes of Sir John A. Macdonald Parkway between Booth Street and Carling Avenue are closed to motorists on weekends from 8 am to 4 pm until Sunday, May 31. This closure is a pilot project managed by the National Capital Commission to facilitate physical distancing. Please consult the NCC website for the latest on the status of the pilot project.
