The following projects will impact Ottawa traffic:
Bank Street canal bridge – The curb lanes in both the northbound and southbound directions on the Bank Street canal bridge have been converted to accommodate pedestrians and all active transportation users. The bridge now has one traffic lane and one lane for pedestrians and active transportation users in each direction, between Wilton Crescent and Echo Drive.
O-Train Line 1 – O-Train Line 1 will be fully closed on Sunday, June 21 for work to improve service reliability. Additionally, from Monday, June 22 until Wednesday, June 24, a section of O-Train Line 1 will be closed. Trains will operate between uOttawa and Blair stations and R1 bus replacement service will be available between Tunney’s Pasture and Lees stations. More information is available on octranspo.com
Queen Elizabeth Driveway – Queen Elizabeth Driveway between Laurier Avenue West and Fifth Avenue is closed to motorists daily from 8 am to 8 pm until Sunday, June 28. Motorists can cross Queen Elizabeth Driveway from the Pretoria Bridge to access Pretoria Avenue. Access for emergency vehicles and OC Transpo buses will be maintained. This closure is a pilot project managed by the National Capital Commission to facilitate physical distancing. Please visit ncc-ccn.gc.ca for the status of the pilot project.
Sir George-Étienne Cartier Parkway – Sir George-Étienne Cartier Parkway between the Aviation Parkway and St. Joseph Boulevard is closed to motorists on weekends from 8 am to 4 pm until Sunday, June 28. This closure is a pilot project managed by the National Capital Commission to facilitate physical distancing. Please visit ncc-ccn.gc.ca for the status of the pilot project.
Sir John A. Macdonald Parkway – The westbound lanes of Sir John A. Macdonald Parkway between Booth Street and Carling Avenue are closed to motorists on weekends from 8 am to 4 pm until Sunday, June 28. This closure is a pilot project managed by the National Capital Commission to facilitate physical distancing. Please visit ncc-ccn.gc.ca for the status of the pilot project.
