Traffic impacts in Ottawa beginning Thursday, July 30

The following projects will impact Ottawa traffic:

Queen Elizabeth Drive and Colonel By Drive – Queen Elizabeth and Colonel By drives will each be reduced to a single lane under the Bank Street Canal Bridge from Saturday, August 1 until fall to repair concrete under the bridge. Signed detours will be in place for pedestrians and cyclists. Traffic on the bridge will not be affected.

Scott Street – The multi-use pathway on the north side of Scott Street between Island Park Drive and Smirle Avenue will be temporarily closed from Tuesday, August 4 until the end of August. Pedestrians and cyclists will be detoured to the south side of Scott Street.

Ramsayville Road – Ramsayville Road at Highway 417 will be closed in both directions from Thursday, August 6 at 8 pm to Friday, August 7 at 5 am. Steel structures will be erected across the road as part of the Highway 417 bridge construction. Signed detours will be in place.

Dunrobin Road – There will be intermittent lane reductions on Dunrobin Road between Constance Bay and Buckham’s Bay roads from Monday, August 3 to Saturday, August 15 to replace the guiderails.

McCaffery Trail – McCaffery Trail will be closed in both directions from Tuesday, August 4 to Tuesday. August 11 for culvert replacement. Traffic and cyclists will be detoured to Dwyer Hill and Fallowfield roads.

Wellington Street – There will be intermittent lane reductions on Wellington Street between Granville Street and Huron Avenue from Tuesday, August 4 to Monday, August 17. Traffic will be maintained in both directions, along with access for pedestrians and cyclists.

Innes Road – There will be intermittent lane closures on Innes Road daily between Orléans Boulevard and Jeanne D’Arc Boulevard from Wednesday, August 5 until Friday, August 28. Westbound lane closures will occur between 9 am and 3:30 pm. Eastbound lane closures will occur between 6 am and 3:30 pm for repaving. Cycling and pedestrian access will be maintained.

Claymor Avenue – Claymor Avenue will be closed between Falaise Road and Normandy Crescent from Tuesday, August 4 until Monday, November 30 for roadway improvements and to replace the sewer and watermains. Access to local traffic, cyclists and pedestrians will be maintained. Signed detours will be in place.
