Traffic impacts in Ottawa beginning Thursday, August 6

The following projects will impact Ottawa traffic:

• Bronson Avenue – Beginning on Monday, August 10, Bronson Avenue from Brookfield Road to Colonel By Drive will be reduced to one lane in each direction from 7 pm to 7 am nightly until October for road resurfacing work. A signed detour will be in place for pedestrians and cyclists.

• Laurier Avenue – Beginning on Monday, August 10, Laurier Avenue from Waller Street to King Edward Avenue will be reduced to one lane in each direction at all times until October for road resurfacing work. A signed detour will be in place for pedestrians and cyclists.

• Leitrim Road – Beginning on Monday, August 10, Leitrim Road from Albion Road to Bank Street will have nightly lane closures between 7 pm and 6 am for road resurfacing work. This work is planned to be completed by the end of September.

• Mitch Owens Road – Mitch Owens Road from Anderson to 9th Line roads will be reduced to one lane beginning on Monday, August 10 until early October for the rehabilitation of a bridge culvert. Temporary traffic signals for two-way traffic will be in place to move motorists one direction at a time through the shared lane. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained.

• Rabbit Path – Rabbit Path from Loggers Way to John Shaw Road will be closed in both directions beginning Monday, August 10 to Friday, August 14 for road rehabilitation work. A signed detour will be in place for motorists, cyclists and pedestrians.

• Farmers Way – Farmers Way from Mitch Owens Road to Piperville Road will have a single lane closure during off-peak hours from Wednesday, August 12 until the end of August. Traffic will be alternated in each direction with a flag person on site. A signed detour will be in place for pedestrians and cyclists.
