A special meeting of the Built Heritage Sub-Committee that had been scheduled to take place on Monday, August 24 has been canceled.
The one item on the meeting agenda was the designation of the Canadian Nurses’ Association House at 50 The Driveway under Part IV of the Ontario Heritage Act. The City and property owner, through their agent, have agreed to pause both the designation process and the demolition permit application for a period of 60 days to allow time for discussions between the two parties regarding the future of the building.
If required, the item will be considered by the Built Heritage Sub-Committee at a future meeting.
