On Friday, Premier Doug Ford proposed a solution to the ever-growing lines at Ontario's COVID-19 testing centres.

He hopes that by this time next week, you will be able to get tested at pharmacies in the province.
When asked about long wait times and increased demand at assessment sites, Ford had good news to share.

Ford mentioned a few specific pharmacies that will host testing centres, including Loblaws, Shoppers Drug Mart, Rexall, and Walmart.
Yesterday, Burlington's Joseph Brant Hospital reported a 1,400% increase in demand at their COVID-19 assessment centre, calling it "unprecedented."
The province recorded 401 new cases of the disease today — the highest daily increase since early June.

根据Narcity和CTV News联合报道，安省省长道格·福特（Doug Ford）表示，在COVID-19病例再度激增之后，他已经考虑降低省内其他地区的聚会规模。

福特今天在发表讲话时说：“第二波疫情来了。我已经收到了来自不同卫生地区的市长和首席医疗官的要求，要求施加更加严格的聚会限制。根据各个市长的要求，我们将会把更加严格的新限令推广到省内其他城市和地区。我会听从医学专家的建议，我永远不会在没有医疗官建议的情况下做出决定，我永远不会。”
在福特发表讲话前，包括万锦市和Middlesex-London地区的多个市长和地区负责人都在呼吁安省政府加强对当地的限令。因为他们担心多伦多，渥太华和皮尔区施加新限令后，大批民众会涌入其他地区，从而造成拥挤，进而造成COVID-19病毒的肆意传播。
万锦市长薛家平（Frank Scarpitti）表示：“我一直在呼吁每个区域要保持一致性。现在的限制令让我们的社区更加脆弱。”

与此同时，福特在发布会也对安省COVID-19测试中心面临的需求增长，测试人员排长队的问题提出了解决办法。他表示，按他的计划下周的这个时候，民众将能够在安省的药房和超市等地接受测试。
将开设测试中心的药房将包括Loblaws，Shoppers Drug Mart，Rexall和Walmart。
