Due to the evolving situation of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Mayor’s 20th Annual Christmas Celebration, scheduled for Saturday, December 5 at City Hall, has been cancelled. While the celebration is cancelled, the holiday lights at City Hall will be turned on from Tuesday, December 1, 2020 to Thursday, January 7, 2021.
The Mayor’s Annual Christmas Celebration in support of the Ottawa Food Bank is made possible with the help and contributions of many volunteers and generous corporate sponsors. Holidays and celebrations are going to look and feel different during the COVID-19 pandemic, but we can still embrace the spirit of the season by looking out for the most vulnerable and by supporting local businesses and donating to local food banks and charities.
The health and safety of all residents is of paramount importance. Residents are reminded to practice physical distancing, wear a mask and follow public health guidelines as the COVID-19 pandemic continues to evolve. Visit OttawaPublicHealth.ca/Coronavirus for the latest information.
