Here’s the City’s weekly roundup of information in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. You can also get daily City updates on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram:

• The Government of Ontario issued a Stay-at-Home Order and introduced enhanced enforcement measures to reduce mobility, effective Thursday, January 14. Visit our updated Provincial and City Rules page for the latest information.
• The Province’s stay-at-home measures will impact some in-person services and facilities in Ottawa.
• Curious what the COVID-19 vaccination process looks like? Take a behind the scenes look at how Ottawa’s mobile vaccination teams are working together to save lives in long term care homes. These homes are the first recipients of vaccines in the Province of Ontario’s distribution plan.

• Parents and caregivers please continue to screen children before starting school or daycare each day (even when the stay at home order is in effect). Let’s work together to reduce the spread. Find out more here and on the Parenting in Ottawa Facebook page.

• The City launched an anti-Asian racism campaign, spearheaded by Councillor Rawlson King, the City’s Council Liaison for Anti-Racism and Ethnocultural Relations.
• Paula Edwards remembers the day she found out she had COVID-19. She, and others who have received the vaccine, feel that they are helping give the community "a fighting chance" against COVID-19.
