We can do our part too! By following safety guidelines and doing some research before we shop to keep our visits efficient, we can demonstrate our concern and care for our small businesses and their employees. Small businesses contribute to the vibrancy of our city and are counting on our continued support.

Before venturing out on your shopping or dining adventure, remember to bring your mask (and maybe keep an extra one handy too), keep your distance while in shops and restaurants, and be sure to follow the latest Provincial and City guidelines. Consider bookmarking the City’s COVID-19 webpage to keep up-to-date on the latest information.

Ottawa’s neighbourhood Business Improvement Areas (BIAs) are easy to find online and on social media. These local organizations are sharing their love for local spots with great recommendations for stores and services, curb-side pickup, and restaurants offering both in-person dining, take-out and delivery.
Many BIAs also maintain directories of businesses that offer online and in-person shopping experiences. Check out our guide to Ottawa’s BIAs on Instagram.
