The City’s Agriculture and Rural Affairs Committee today approved Official Plan and zoning amendments needed to permit a 10-unit development in Manotick, south of Manotick Main Street along Highcroft Drive.
Municipal services are not currently available at the property, but the applicant proposes to cover the cost to extend water and sewer services to the site as part of the redevelopment.
The amendment would increase permitted density for the site as two existing homes would be replaced with 10 detached dwellings in a planned development along a private road. The development would be transitional, situated between the denser village core and a nearby low-density residential neighbourhood.
Recommendations from today’s Agriculture and Rural Affairs Committee meeting will rise to Council on Wednesday, March 10.
