Traffic impacts in Ottawa beginning Thursday, April 8

The following projects will impact Ottawa traffic:

• Highway 417 – Highway 417 will be reduced to three lanes in each direction from eastbound Parkdale Avenue to Rochester Street and westbound Rochester Street to Parkdale Avenue from Monday, April 12 to Monday, June 14.
• Highway 174 – The following Highway 174 ramps will close nightly from 9 pm to 5:30 am for Stage 2 LRT roadwork:
  • The westbound on-ramp from southbound Jeanne d’Arc Boulevard, beginning Thursday, April 8 and ending the morning of Saturday, April 10. It will close again beginning Monday, April 12 and ending the morning of Thursday, April 15.
• • The westbound on-ramp from northbound Jeanne d’Arc Boulevard, beginning Thursday, April 8 and ending the morning of Saturday, April 10. It will close again beginning Monday, April 12 and ending the morning of Tuesday, April 13.

• • The eastbound on-ramp from northbound Jeanne d’Arc Boulevard, beginning Thursday, April 8 and ending the morning of Saturday, April 10. It will close again beginning Monday, April 12 and ending the morning of Wednesday, April 14.

• • The eastbound off-ramp to Champlain Street, beginning Thursday, April 8 and ending the morning of Saturday, April 10. It will close again beginning Monday, April 12 and ending the morning of Wednesday, April 14.

• • The westbound off-ramp to Champlain Street, beginning Thursday, April 8 and ending the morning of Saturday, April 10. It will close again beginning Monday, April 12 and ending the morning of Saturday, April 17.

• • The westbound on-ramp from southbound Tenth Line Road, beginning Thursday, April 8 and ending the morning of Saturday, April 10. It will close again beginning Monday, April 12 and ending the morning Saturday, April 17.
• Highway 174 – The westbound bus lane from Place d’Orléans Park and Ride to Jeanne d’Arc Boulevard is reduced to one lane until September for Stage 2 LRT work.
• Montreal Road – Montreal Road is reduced to one lane in each direction under the Highway 174 overpass until mid-July for Stage 2 LRT work.
• Dairy Drive – Dairy Drive will close from Friday, April 9 to Friday, May 7 for Stage 2 LRT work.
• Hazeldean Road – Hazeldean Road will be reduced to one lane in each direction at the bridge over the Carp River from Monday, April 12 to mid-July 2021 for bridge renewal work. Access will be maintained for pedestrians and cyclists, with a signed detour around the construction.
• Byron Avenue – Byron Avenue is closed between Lockhart Avenue and Woodroffe until the end of April for Stage 2 LRT work. Local access is maintained.
• Redwood Avenue – Redwood Avenue is closed between Byron Avenue and Richmond Road until Friday, April 30.
