(1)Job Description:
Olympiad Education Group has been offering math and computing contest preparation courses for more than ten years, designed to prepare participantsfor Canadian Mathematics Competitions (University of Waterloo Math Contests).Our students have been extremely successful, achieving excellent marks in thecontests. Our commitment is to ensure that this is the best math Contestpreparation course in the Canadian market.
To help more students to excel in math contests, we arelooking for six excellent math instructors and two python instructors to teach the math contest courses:
We will provide competitive salary, and bonuses and flexiblework hours to them. Successful candidates may be eligible for reappointment toadditional terms.
(2)Job Duties:
1. Instruct students to prepare math contests or python programming in aninteractive way through Zoom: go through exam related knowledge, explaincomplex contents in an easy-to-understand way, introduce exam format andstructures, coach exam-taking strategies, and answer students' question
2. Develop and continuously update the course relatedteaching material including but not limited to Powerpoint slides, Examples,assignments, mock exams, and videos etc.
3. Review student’s assignments and give appropriatefeedback
4. Collect feedback from students at the ending of each semesterin the form of online surveys or paper questionnaire; give the suggestions ofimproving teaching and management to the school
5. Make presentation to introduce our courses and providesupport to the workshops to the students and their parents.
2. Excellent oral and written English communications skills; Proficient Python Programming skills are requred for Python teachers
3. A minimum high school diploma or undergraduate orgraduate students
4. Canadian Math Competition or Canadian Computing experience is preferable butnot required
5. Teaching experience is preferable but not required
6. Speaking Mandarin would be an asset
