On Thursday May 27, the City is hosting its 18th annual AccessAbility Day virtually. The event, held each year as part of National AccessAbility Week, will be live via Zoom from 10 am until noon.
This year’s theme is: Barriers, and benefits to participation in a virtual world. The event will feature community panel discussion on how people with disabilities have navigated living in a virtual world during the COVID-19 pandemic. Residents will have an opportunity to discuss:
To promote the inclusion of all participants, the following supports are in place for the event:
Register by Wednesday May 26. A Zoom link will be shared with registrants the evening before the event.
When registering, please let us know if you require any additional disability-related accommodations in order to participate.

- new barriers that were created due to COVID 19 and moving to a virtual service
- benefits, if any, technology had on accessing services
- recommendations for the City, businesses or other services to be more inclusive

- American Sign Language (ASL)
- Langue des signes québécoise (LSQ)
- Continuous real-time captioning in English and French
- Simultaneous French translation
