Most Ottawa residents have now been vaccinated against COVID-19 – 83 per cent of residents over 18 years old have received their first dose, and 67 per cent are fully vaccinated with a second dose. Thousands more are booked to receive their vaccinations before August 15.

With fewer people still needing vaccine appointments, the City and Ottawa Public Health are now able to consolidate their community vaccination clinics.

Beginning Wednesday, July 21, clinics will be operating at five locations:

  • Eva James Memorial Community Centre - 65 Stonehaven Drive
  • Nepean Sportsplex - 1701 Woodroffe Avenue
  • Ottawa City Hall - 110 Laurier Avenue West
  • Queensway Carleton Hospital - 3045 Baseline Rd
  • Ruddy Family YMCA-YWCA - 265 Centrum Boulevard

Anyone with a future appointment at a previously available community clinic is encouraged to rebook now for an earlier date at the most convenient location. Efforts are also underway to reach out directly to these individuals.

Transportation support services are available to assist in getting to and from your appointment.

Booking an appointment

There are many appointments available for anyone who still needs a vaccine. Visit the provincial booking system or use this tool to find a convenient time and date, or drop-in at select clinics without an appointment. The drop-in locations are updated daily on ottawapublichealth.ca and on the City’s Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts.

If you are booked for a vaccination in the fall, you are encouraged to move your appointment up to take advantage of the many appointments that are available.

Other vaccine options across the City

If these locations are not convenient for residents, there are other options to get a vaccine in their neighbourhood:

After you have been vaccinated you will receive a confirmation email with proof of vaccination. Remember to check your junk folder. You can also download a vaccine receipt through Ontario.ca/bookvaccine.

Thank you to our partners

The City of Ottawa and Ottawa Public Health would like to send a special thanks to our partners at the Ottawa Hospital, CHEO, Kids Come First, the Queensway Carleton Hospital, the University of Ottawa, the Canadian Tire Centre, family health teams, local physicians, and local pharmacies who made facilities available, helped staff these clinics and made our work against COVID-19 possible.

It was thanks to their help that we were able to stand up the temporary clinics and administer up to 100,000 vaccines a week at the height of the vaccine roll-out.
