Traffic impacts in Ottawa beginning Friday, July 30

The following projects will impact Ottawa traffic:

• The Airport Parkway southbound off-ramp to eastbound Hunt Club Road will be reduced to one lane nightly between 7 pm to 6 am from Wednesday, August 4 to Friday, August 6.
• Barnsdale Road will close between Rideau Valley Drive and Lockview Road from Monday, August 2 until early September for watermain work. Signed detours will be in place. Local access will be maintained.
• Byron Avenue will close between Harcourt and Woodland avenues daily from 7 am to 5 pm until Friday, July 30 and again between Tuesday, August 3 and Friday August 6. Local access will be maintained.
• Highway 174 – The following ramps and lanes will be closed for Stage 2 LRT roadwork:
  • The westbound on-ramp from northbound Champlain Street will close nightly between 9 pm and 5:30 am from Tuesday, August 3 to Saturday, August 7.
  • The westbound on-ramp from northbound Tenth Line Road will close nightly between 7 pm and 5:30 am from Tuesday, August 3 to Saturday, August 7.
  • Highway 174 eastbound and westbound lanes will be closed between Trim Road and Quigley Hill Road from 7 pm on Friday, August 6 to 5:30 am on Monday, August 9. Local traffic will be maintained.
• Hunt Club Road westbound will be reduced to one lane near the Airport Parkway from 7 pm to 6 am on Tuesday, August 3. One lane in each direction will close nightly between 7 pm to 6 am from Wednesday, August 4 to Friday, August 6.
• Strandherd Drive will have intermittent lane closures between Greenbank Road and Prince of Wales Drive outside peak hours starting Tuesday, August 3 to mid-August for crack sealing. Signs and personnel will be onsite to direct traffic, cyclists and pedestrians. Local access will be maintained.
• Trim Road will close between Jeanne d’Arc Boulevard and South Frontage Road from 9 pm on Monday, August 2 to 5:30 am on Monday, August 9.
