Traffic impacts in Ottawa beginning Friday, September 3

The following projects will impact Ottawa traffic:

  • Adirondack Drive will close between Woodroffe Avenue and Domalatchy Place daily from 7 am to 5 pm, from Tuesday, September 7 until Friday, October 8.
  • Dalhousie Street will have intermittent lane closures between St. Patrick Street and Guigues Avenue starting Tuesday, September 7 until the end of October for resurfacing. Pedestrian and cyclist access will be maintained.
  • The following Highway 174 ramps and lanes will close for Stage 2 LRT work:
    • The westbound on-ramp from northbound Tenth Line Road will close nightly between 9 pm and 5:30 am on Thursday, September 9 and Friday, September 10.
    • Highway 174 eastbound and westbound lanes between Tenth Line Road and Cameron Street will close nightly between 7 pm and 5:30 am from Tuesday, September 7 to Thursday, September 9.
  • The following Highway 417 ramps and lanes will close for Stage 2 LRT work:
    • The westbound on-ramp from southbound Pinecrest Road will close from noon on Tuesday, September 7 to 6 am on Monday, September 20.
  • Mitch Owens Road will close between Bank Street and Sale Barn Road starting at 5 am on Saturday, September 11 until 5 am on Monday, September 13 for watermain work. Detour signs will be in place. Local access will be maintained.
  • Rideau Road will close between River Road and Spratt Road starting at 7 am on Saturday, September 11 until midnight on Sunday, September 12 for watermain work. Detour signs will be in place. Local access will be maintained.
  • St. Patrick Street will have intermittent lane closures between King Edward Avenue and Dalhousie Street, starting Tuesday, September 7 until the end of October for resurfacing. Pedestrian and cyclist access will be maintained.

These upcoming special events will also cause traffic impacts:

  • Escapade/Afrofest – Saturday, September 4 and Sunday, September 5Afrofest Ottawa will take place at Mooney’s Bay Park and the Escapade Music Festival will take place at the Ottawa Baseball Stadium at 302 Coventry Road. Ticket holders to these events are encouraged to use transit, rideshare or walk to the site. On-site parking for both events is limited.
