Important message for OHIP Patients
Negotiations between the Ministry of Health and Ontario Optometrists have broken down. As such Ontario Optometrists have made the difficult decision to withdraw from delivering OHIP-insured eye exams as of September 1st 2021.
Read the latest statement from the Ontario Association of Optometrists
For over 32 years, the Ontario Government has underfunded OHIP-insured eye exams to the point where they don’t even cover half the cost to provide the exam.
We remain open for all non OHIP insured services. This includes: eye exams for those aged 20-64, glasses, contact lens, vision therapy and dry eye services will continue as usual.
Lastly, if you are willing, we would REALLY appreciate your help!
