Traffic impacts in Ottawa beginning Friday, October 22
The following projects will impact Ottawa traffic:
Greenbank Road, between Jockvale Road and Cambrian Road, will be closed in both directions from 8 pm on Friday, October 22 until 6 am on Monday, October 25 for a culvert replacement. Local access will be maintained. Pedestrians and cyclists will be accommodated through the construction zone.
Bank Street, from Mitch Owens Road to Rideau Road, will be closed in both directions from 7 pm on Friday, October 22 until 5 am on Monday, October 25 for the installation of a culvert. A signed detour will be in place and local access will be maintained.
Colonel By Drive will be closed southbound from Daly Avenue to Hawthorne Avenue starting Monday, October 25 until late December 2021. This is to accommodate intersection upgrades at Main Street, and storm sewer installation along Colonel By Drive between Hawthorne Avenue and Main Street. Alternate routes include Elgin Street or King Edward Avenue. Northbound lanes will remain open. Cyclist and pedestrian access will be maintained.
The following Highway 174 ramps and lanes will be closed for Stage 2 LRT roadwork:
The following Highway 417 ramps and lanes will be closed for Stage 2 LRT roadwork:
A section of Montreal Road under Highway 174 will be closed nightly between 10 pm and 5:30 am from Wednesday, October 27 until Saturday, October 30.
Southbound Montreal Road will be reduced to one lane under the OR 174 interchange from Thursday, September 30 until mid-November.
Edgeworth Avenue, between Lawn Avenue and Richmond Road, will be closed until Sunday, October 31. Local access will be maintained.
Byron Avenue is closed between Woodland Avenue and Harcourt Avenue daily from 7am to 5pm, until Sunday, October 31.
Byron Avenue is closed between Lockhart Avenue and Sherbourne Road daily from 7am to 5pm, until Sunday, October 31.
Riverside Drive southbound is reduced to one lane from Data Centre Road to Heron Road until June 2022.
The Westbound Highway 417 off-ramp to Bronson will be closed from 6am on Saturday, October 23 until 5 am on Monday, October 25.

- The eastbound on-ramp from Saint Joseph Road at Tenth Line Road will be closed until 5:30 am on Monday, October 25.
- The westbound on-ramp from northbound Jeanne d’Arc will be closed nightly between 9 pm and 5:30 am until Saturday, October 23.
- The westbound on-ramp from southbound Tenth Line Road will be closed nightly between 9 pm and 5:30 am from Monday, October 25 until Wednesday, October 27.
- The westbound off-ramp to Tenth Line Road will be closed nightly between 9 pm and 5:30 am from Monday, October 25 until Wednesday, October 27.
The following Highway 417 ramps and lanes will be closed for Stage 2 LRT roadwork:
- The westbound off-ramp to Pinecrest Road will close at 8 pm on Tuesday, November 2 until summer 2023. Visit: 417 westbound off-ramp at Pinecrest to close November 2 for more information.
