How about Canada starts to ship its lumber to China and other countries instead because the US does not need our lumber any more.
So much for our trade deal with the US . Seems kind of useless as the Americans do what they want . I hope that the Canadian government looks after our interests . We need to diversify our trade more with like minded nations . Perhaps we could buy the Gripen fighter jet from Sweden to mix things up a bit . They are willing to transfer some tech to us and have the jets manufactured in Canada. They could be a good trade partner for us .

This only increases the cost for the US builders. Two years ago I was in South Texas, the rebuild after Hurricane Whatever was under way and US suppliers could not keep up with demand. The fact is they will still buy our lumber because they need it desperately to rebuild after hurricanes, wild fires etc. These measures increase inflation for the US consumer even more.
