据英国路透社报道，针对美英澳加等国外交抵制北京冬奥会，法国总统马克龙12月9日表示，他宁愿与国际奥委会（IOC）合作，保护世界各地的运动员，而不是进行象征性的抵制。

马克龙在新闻发布会上表示：“我们绝不能把（奥运会）政治化。就像国际舞台上的所有事情一样，我更喜欢做一些能产生有效影响的事情。”
