The City of Ottawa will delay the start of winter registered programming for at least two weeks due to the escalating COVID-19 Omicron situation. Any registered programs planned for the first two weeks of January will be postponed. More information about revised start dates and capacity limits will be provided in the coming weeks. Registration for winter programming has also been suspended temporarily while we assess the impact of the new regulations.

Before and After School programs will continue to be offered as planned and follow the school board schedules for in-class learning.

Please keep in mind, City indoor recreation and culture facilities will continue to operate at a 50 per cent capacity limit and physical distancing of 2 metres is required at all times.

The online reservation system on ottawa.ca/recreation will be used to manage capacity for drop-in activities such as public and lane swims, cardio and weight rooms, and indoor public skating. Please also check ottawa.ca for details on the holiday schedule and cancellations

Current COVID-19 protocols remain in place at all City recreation and culture facilities, including mandatory mask requirements, physical distancing, and proof of vaccination for all residents 12 years of age and older.

For more information on City programs and services, visit ottawa.ca, call 3-1-1 (TTY: 613-580-2401) or 613-580-2400 to contact the City using Canada Video Relay Service. You can also connect with us through Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
