Make sure you’re set for September by checking out our PA days and winter break camp activities and Before and After School programs for the 2022-2023 school year.

By registering for the City’s Before and After School programs, your kids can start – or finish- their day with fun active games, sports, arts and crafts. Programs are offered in both English and French, and provide children with opportunities to make new friends, be physically active, unleash their creativity and even get some homework done. Before the programs start in the fall, parents will be given a Before and After School Parent Handbook, which features additional information on expectations and protocols.

For children who need a little extra support, the City’s Inclusive Recreation team provides a Mentor Support model that allows direct assistance to children, and/or education and training to site staff to support the successful integration of children with exceptionalities.

And when school is out for PA days and winter break, the City offers a variety of action filled days of activities.

Registration will take place on Wednesday, May 25 at 9 pm.

The City of Ottawa is a registered HIGH FIVE® organization. We commit to healthy child development and safety for children’s recreation programs which focuses on providing young people opportunities to play, participate, master skills, and make friends. Parents can expect quality programming for their children!

Registration is easy. Explore program offerings on ottawa.ca to select your program and follow these simple steps:

  1. Go to ottawa.ca and browse Before and After School programs or visit JoinOttawa.
  2. Click the relevant barcode – it will take you to the course page, with details about the number of spaces available, fees and dates.
  3. Add the class to your cart and then proceed through the checkout. We’ll email you your receipt.

For these programs, and all other City programming, the City will continue to follow provincial guidelines and advice from Ottawa Public Health, to ensure that necessary COVID-19 prevention measures and protocols will be in place to safeguard children and staff.
