I'm from the UK and think this is a great interview. However, what I take from this is that America has a war economy and is now desperately looking for a new / bigger war to get its economy back on track. The USA spends a fortune on defense and that means if the USA is NOT at war then it not only has thousands of soldiers, pilots and sailors all sitting at home doing nothing, but also the colossal amount of support staff out of jobs. People do not realize just HOW BIG the American war machine really is now. For example, we are not just talking soldiers, pilots and sailors, we are talking about the companies who make all the weapons, the companies who make the medical supplies, the companies who provide the food, everyone from the company who makes the bullets to the people making US army uniforms. That in the US defense / war / armed forces is a massive employer and source of jobs, taxes and revenue. Basically since the end of WW2 the USA has had a war economy that now relies on been at war for the economy to even survive. Within the last few years we have seen the USA poking China who very wisely hasn't bitten back or taken the bait, but now Russia attacks Ukraine and within only seconds the USA jump all over the situation and begin flooding in weapons. America NEEDS some kind of conflict or its economy will suffer, there are simply to many companies in the USA that only survive by equipping the US armed forces, to many jobs in the defense sector to simply stop being at war. In this case the US is looking for a new war, in fact I'd not be surprised if the US dissolve NATO simply so they can attack some nation in Europe, as basically they need a war or else there economy will continue to bleed to death. My answer for America, without sounding racist or like a Nazi is to actually copy one of the popular leaders who ever lived and actually copy what Adolf Hitler did in the early 1930's. Like we know in the 1920's Germany's economy was worse than America's is now, in fact in 1920's Germany people were starving to death with millions unemployed. In this case Hitler gathered what armed forces he had and used his military along with the unemployed to begin a huge period of public works. They built new roads / new bridges / new railways and all sorts. In this case if the US armed forces wants a war then it should wage war on the USA for a decade and get the troops to actually help build these new roads, new green energy, new railways and so on. You speak about plans such as "Build Back Better" when really you have hundreds of thousands of troops who would probably be more than happy to help build America back rather than just fighting in some third world shithole. China often does the same, it uses it armed forces for all sorts of stuff. Basically if America puts its troops and defense budget back into America then within a decade America would shine.
