Deadline to apply to vote by special mail-in ballot in the 2022 Municipal Elections is Friday, September 16

Tomorrow is the deadline to apply to vote by mail in the 2022 Municipal Elections. Eligible electors who want to vote by mail must apply for a special mail-in ballot by September 16 at 4:30 pm.

To request a special mail-in ballot:

• Apply online at ottawa.ca/vote.
• To apply by email:
  • Complete the Application for a special mail-in ballot form.
  • Scan and send the completed form to the Elections Office at elections@ottawa.ca.
• To apply in person:
  • Complete the Application for a special mail-in ballot form.
  • Submit the completed form in person at the Elections Office at 1221 Cyrville Road, Unit B, Ottawa, Ontario, K1J 7S8.

The Elections Office must receive applications by September 16 at 4:30 pm in order to be processed.

Special mail-in ballot voter kits with instructions on how to cast your special mail-in ballot will be mailed the week of September 26.

Completed special ballots must be received at the Elections Office or any Client Service Centre by October 24 at 4:30 pm in order to be counted. Any special ballots received after this deadline will not be counted.
