天上的中保与代祷者

这段经文中，19节表明约伯的信心，就是在天上有他的“见证”和“见证人”。但20节和21节和合本的翻译淡化了他的信心宣告。相关的经文，NIV是这样翻译的：
Job 16：18-21
18 “Earth, do not cover my blood; may my cry never be laid to rest!
19 Even now my witness is in heaven; my advocate is on high.
20 My intercessor is my friend as my eyes pour out tears to God; 21 on behalf of a man he pleads with God as one pleads for a friend.

NIV的这个翻译中，第19、20、21节中的信息是高度一致的，强化了约伯的信心宣告。那么，这样的翻译是不是有道理呢？

20节和21节经文翻译不同的关键字是和合本中被翻译为“讥笑”的这个字，希伯来原文是个多义字。


那个希伯来字在圣经字典中列为3887号，在旧约圣经中总共出现27次。
其中KJV两次将其翻译为interpreter，一次翻译为ambassador，其余翻译均为讥笑或者讥笑者。

这么看来，NIV对约伯记16：20的翻译在语言上是没有问题的。问题是，这种翻译在上下文以及整本圣经中是不是更适切？个人目前认为答案是肯定的。

14 我们既然有一位伟大的、经过了众天的大祭司，就是神的儿子耶稣，就应该坚持所宣认的信仰。 15 因为我们的大祭司并不是不能同情我们的软弱，他像我们一样，也曾在各方面受过试探，只是他没有犯罪。 16 所以，我们只管坦然无惧地来到施恩的宝座前，为的是要领受怜悯，得到恩惠，作为及时的帮助。

罗马书：8：34 谁能定我们的罪呢？有基督耶稣死了，而且复活了，现今在神的右边，也替我们祈求。

主耶稣作为大祭司为我们代求：

希伯来书7：24-26
24 另一方面，因为耶稣是永远长存的，就拥有他永不更改的祭司职位。 25 因此，那些靠着他进到神面前的人，他都能拯救到底；因为他长远活着，为他们代求。26 这样的一位大祭司，对我们本是合适的。他是圣洁、没有邪恶、没有玷污、从罪人中分别出来、高过众天的。
